This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for Fret Beam, a product of Fret Beam LLC. It is part of our Terms of Service. We keep it on its own page, not buried in the fine print, because we want it to be easy to find.

Try before you pay: the 7-day free trial

Every Fret Beam subscription starts with a 7-day free trial, so the simplest way to avoid a charge you don’t want is to try Fret Beam first. If you cancel any time during the trial, you are never charged. There is nothing to refund because no money changed hands. Canceling is self-serve and as easy as signing up.

30-day money-back guarantee on your first charge

If you decide Fret Beam isn’t for you after your trial converts, you’re still covered. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first subscription charge, whether you chose monthly or yearly billing. The guarantee applies in full to that first charge either way. Email us at support@fretbeam.com within 30 days of that first charge and we’ll refund it in full. No hoops.

The OBS Kit

The OBS Kit is a one-time $97 purchase and comes with its own 30-day money-back guarantee. If it’s not what you needed, email support@fretbeam.com within 30 days of purchase for a full refund.

Renewal charges after the first billing period

Renewal charges after your first paid period, monthly or yearly, are not refundable by default. Because you can cancel at any time and cancellation is self-serve, the way to avoid a renewal is to cancel before it bills. Canceling stops all future billing, effective at the end of your current paid period, and you keep access through the time you’ve already paid for. After that, the app locks until you resubscribe. Your license key and saved work are kept. If something went wrong, a charge you didn’t expect, a genuine billing mistake, email us anyway. We consider goodwill refunds on a case-by-case basis at Fret Beam LLC’s discretion.

How refunds are returned

Refunds are issued to your original payment method through the same provider that processed your payment (Stripe for card payments, PayPal for PayPal payments). It can take a few business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or provider.
